Zillar Barta Desk,Kathmandu : Heart-wrenching scenes have emerged from Kathmandu, where walls at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital are covered with photographs and posters of people missing after Nepal’s devastating floods. Families continue to visit the hospital, desperately searching for information about loved ones whose whereabouts remain unknown.
The photographs include images of missing relatives as well as unidentified victims recovered during rescue operations. Family members have added names, personal details and contact numbers to the posters in the hope that someone can help identify their loved ones.
For many families, the hospital has become a place of both grief and hope. Some continue to return every day, scanning hundreds of photographs and checking with officials for any update. Others have begun accepting the possibility that their relatives may not return, while rescue teams continue searching devastated areas and hydropower sites.
The disaster has left thousands missing, with authorities and rescue teams continuing identification, recovery and search operations across affected parts of Nepal.
