Zillar Barta Desk, New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday visited the Delhi Police headquarters and chaired a high-level meeting with senior police officials to review the law and order situation in the national capital. The meeting focused on key security challenges facing Delhi, including crime prevention, drug trafficking, criminal gangs operating from abroad and crimes against women. The review comes amid increased attention on the Delhi Police's handling of protests and the maintenance of law and order in the capital. The meeting was also expected to examine the police response to recent demonstrations and the steps required to prevent disruptions to normal life.
