Karoline Leavitt Joins Fox News as Contributor After Leaving White House Press Secretary Role

Zillar Barta Desk,Washington: Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is set to join Fox News as an on-air contributor following her departure from the Trump administration earlier this year. Fox News Media announced Monday that Leavitt will begin her new role on November 1, providing commentary and analysis across the network's platforms.

Leavitt, 29, served as the 36th White House press secretary during President Donald Trump's second administration from January 2025 until August 2026. She became the youngest person in American history to hold the position. During her tenure, she regularly briefed reporters at the White House and defended the administration's policies on domestic and international issues.

Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said Leavitt's firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail would bring a distinct perspective to the network's coverage of the political landscape.

Leavitt said she was grateful for the opportunity to become an official member of the Fox News team and expressed her intention to bring her experience as White House press secretary to the network's viewers.

Her departure from the White House came at the end of August. Leavitt had announced that she was stepping away from the demanding press secretary role after the birth of her second child, saying she wanted to spend more time with her family.

Before joining the White House, Leavitt served as national press secretary for Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. She had also worked in Trump's first administration as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary and previously served as communications director for then-House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik.

Leavitt's move to television continues a pattern in which former White House press secretaries transition into broadcast media. Former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany joined Fox News in 2021, while former President George W. Bush's press secretary Dana Perino also became a Fox News commentator and host.

Leavitt's arrival comes as Fox News continues to be closely watched for its coverage of the Trump administration and U.S. politics. President Trump has also recently criticized some of the network's coverage, particularly its treatment of his political rallies.

With her new position beginning in November, Leavitt is expected to provide political commentary drawing on her experience inside the White House and on the campaign trail, marking her transition from the administration's chief spokesperson to a television news contributor.
