Zillar Barta Desk : Artists from the Panghat Performing Arts group came together in Ahmedabad for a vibrant full-dress rehearsal ahead of the much-awaited Navaratri festival. Dressed in traditional attire, the performers formed a circle around the beautifully decorated Garba pots, showcasing the spirit, rhythm and cultural richness associated with the festival.

The rehearsal offered a glimpse of the colourful celebrations expected during Navaratri, when people across Gujarat participate in Garba and Dandiya Raas celebrations. The traditional Garba pot, often placed at the centre of the dance circle, holds deep cultural significance and represents life and the divine feminine energy.

With music, traditional costumes and coordinated dance movements, the Panghat Performing Arts group artists prepared for performances that will form part of the festive celebrations. The full-dress rehearsal also highlighted the dedication and enthusiasm of performers as they polished their routines ahead of the festival.
